Empowerment and Activation of Young People in Disadvantaged Situations -TV series focuses on problems of social inclusion of vulnerable young people from disadvantaged social and personal settings, zooms in on personal stories of children and young adults at the threshold of leaving known, albeit disadvantageous circumstances – care providing institutions – and starting independent life.
We find them at the moment they leave the known, and need to learn to manage their own lives and become active citizens.
The production of six episodes of the TV series seeks to improve the situation of young people in disadvantaged situations by strengthening their capabilities to manage their own lives and become active citizens, through the development and testing of socially innovative approaches and exchange of mutual learning.
By digging deeper than the usual institutional answers to their situation, the serial will propose possibly innovative social policy measures or specific CSO and local community engagement to enable smoother transit and social inclusion.
