The main objective of the SOFA series was to challenge traditional misconceptions that pose an obstacle to progress and specific changes to promote a multi-cultural and democratic Serbia, through addressing it as a cross-cutting issue in the context of specific socio-economic concerns rather than isolating it as a single issue.

The Game of Truth

The project “The Game of Truth” addresses the need for higher participation of youth in democratic transition and fostering the free speech and informed debate in the media sphere.

It uses analytical journalism approach to enable citizens- young people to take part in the debate about wide range of issues affecting their lives. Use of media sphere is a starting point for understanding and deliberation about issues of common concern such as democratic transition, active citizenship and overcoming destructive prejudices and legacies of the past.

Fostering the Future

The purpose of this project is to raise public awareness on problems faced by children without parental care. Public debate provided a unique opportunity not only for viewers to ask “hot” questions, but also for decision-makers on various levels to reflect on the current practices, clearly voice out the existing barriers to changing the child protection system, and openly, at times quite passionately and heatedly, discuss possible options and realities of reforms in the child protection sector in Serbia.
