2016/2017
The number of children with conduct problems is increasing. The vast majority of them have been neglected, suffering from difficulties in emotional-social development, but mainly it is not detected by their immediate surroundings – as a consequence, they themselves are considered almost solely responsible for their maladjustment.
The project aims to improve socialization and inclusion of children with conduct problems.
In order to prevent their delinquency, Association for Alternative Family Care – FAMILIA in partnership with Regional Centers for foster care and adoption, educates/trains caregivers, teachers and professionals of nurseries & kindergartens to recognize and understand the needs that lie behind the challenging behavior of children, and to achieve the positive discipline techniques and other skills that support optimal development and pro-social behavior of children.
Through recording and broadcasting four round tables, the representatives of the Centers for foster care and adoption, the Department for Children and Youth, educators, psychologists, social pedagogues, foster parents, social workers had the opportunity for both – to answer the questions of journalists who took part and to stress the necessity of establishing and licensing specialist services – Resource center for children with conduct problems and their families.
