The media production will make an informed and significant contribution to independent media reporting, as well as to the strengthening rule of law in Serbia, by putting a critical but constructive perspective on how our justice system works when it comes to children.
Through extensive research, the project resulted in a series of interviews with prominent professionals working in this field, presenting most striking cases of neglecting child’s rights in the court of law or in other state institutions. The series sheds light on eight different situations in which children can find themselves in the justice system.
The project includes production and broadcast of 8 TV shows – eight interviews with justice professionals, and Public debates at eight faculties of universities in four cities (Belgrade, Nis, Novi Sad and Kragujevac). Apart from viewing programmes, this will be a chance for students of law, international affairs, psychology, social work and other related fields to develop in-depth understanding of how judicial reform can help children access their rights in vulnerable situations.
